ChessBase C.I.S. LLC is a developer and distributor of chess software located in the Republic of Armenia. We offer our software to end users and dealers located in the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Our main programs are ChessBase, Megabase, and Fritz. All programs are available in Russian, the common language for all of our countries in the past. English versions are also available, and we plan to release versions in other languages. Programs are provided with free updates within the program version that release improvements.

ChessBase GmbH was founded in 1986 in Germany, and just a couple of years later, it released the first version of its chess software, ChessBase. Success was immediate, and World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov even said, "ChessBase is the greatest development in chess since the invention of the printing press."
The company, founded in 1986 by physics student Matthias Wüllenweber, science journalist Frederik Friedel, and chess coach Gisbert Jacobi, revolutionized chess. ChessBase GmbH, based in Hamburg, Germany, continues to produce the world's best chess software, becoming a clear industry leader.
ChessBase is a software for chess databases. It has become the international standard for chess players, from world champions to ambitious amateurs.
Mega database is its second most important product. The megabase is released annually and contains over 12 million chess games from throughout the history of chess, numerous games with commentary from leading chess players, and a convenient search by positions, players, and tournaments. A subscription service also provides weekly updates.
In 1992, the Fritz computer chess program was released, which has since become several-time world computer chess champion. In 2004, Fritz defeated the reigning world champion, Vladimir Kramnik, in a six-game match. The current version of Fritz not only allows players to play against the computer but also uses the program as an assistant and coach.
In 2001, the Playchess chess gaming zone was launched. Chess enthusiasts around the world can play against each other, watch broadcasts of major chess tournaments, and practice chess online in a group or with a coach.
Fritztrainer and ChessBase Trainer are important ChessBase products. Over 400 instructional DVDs have been released, featuring videos of top chess players explaining the nuances of play in various openings and positions. During lessons, you can move pieces, repeat moves, and delve deeper into variations on the built-in chessboard. The authors include former world champions such as Garry Kasparov, Vladimir Kramnik, Vishy Anand, as well as other leading grandmasters and world-renowned chess coaches.
